The Commonwealth Games is a unique, world class, multi sports event which is held every four years. It is often referred to as the 'Friendly Games'. The Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF) is the organisation that is responsible for the direction and control of the Commonwealth Games. The next Commonwealth Youth Games will be held in Samoa from the 5 - 11 September, followed by the Gold Coast who will host the 21st Commonwealth Games in 2018. The 2022 Commonwealth Games will be announced on the 2 September, 2015 at the CGF's Annual General Assembly in Auckland.
